Business Card Maker Moo Setting Up US Office

Having outgrown its Central London home, business-card maker Moo is setting up an office in Providence, R.I., this year to better serve its U.S. customers, as the company confirms in a blog post. More than half the site’s customers come from the US, and a base there will allow faster shipping to what is now its main market — some customers, as CNet points out, complain of waiting for up two weeks. It’s a big step for Moo and illustrates the unlikely success of a company that specialises in the one-dimensional activity of printing business cards — although Moo allows that cards to be personalised so that each one in a pack is different. Moo was founded in 2006 and was seeded by The Accelerator Group, and has received funding from Atlas Venture and Index Partners.
