fired…. i.e.. read between the lines.. too much strategy and vision.. and not enough execution and monetization.
I don't think you can have too much strategy and vision in this industry. If you pull back, you limit yourself and your company's possibilities.
Not enough execution and monetization? I'd respond to that, but I'm too busy watching the NCAA tournament on my phone!
Cyriac made his job what it is: "one of the best mobile jobs in the industry." The job didn't exist before him, but it will continue to be "one of the best" because of his leadership. Jeff Sellinger is cut from the same cloth. They are both hard-working, dedicated individuals. That is why I can say with certainty that Cyriac wasn't fired.
Hey Chip, no offense…but, if you have to say you're doing great things, you're probably not. Regardless, way to pat yourself on the back at the end of an article about someone else.
Jeff was having trouble posting this comment, so posting on his behalf:
"Hi guys, Jeff Sellinger from CBS here. I felt I needed to respond to this to clear this up. There is nothing to read between the lines. He created and executed. Cyriac is a true entrepreneur and unfortunately he felt his job was done. He's a business builder who created a successful and profitable unit. He's a great leader and CBS would be lucky to participate in Cyriac's next big thing. Thank you, Jeff."
"Not me though – I’m doing great things at NBC!"
Sure, Chip…you keep telling that to yourself …. Or was that a nervous comment?

What happened to Chip? Get scared?
