Delhi HC Issues Stay Order Preventing e-Eighteen From Publishing Mint Column
Mint reports that the Delhi high court issued a stay order preventing e-Eighteen.com Ltd from publishing a column that HT Media Ltd claimed was written by its journalists and originally appeared on 3 October in Mint and its website www.livemint.com.
The stay order, granted in the absence of e-Eighteen.com, came after HT Media filed a suit for infringement of copyright on 8 October. In the suit, HT Media, which publishes Mint, said that a Mark To Market column titled
there are no specific comments to this article, actually it is true that if any literary work is used in some other book or literary works, the owner or publishing co. of that other literary works has to take the permission form the original owner or publishing co., with supporting reason for such use.
Any violation such permission or such laws, would result to some serious damages.

I too a business journalist. Taking points from a specific story (not a general news item) specifically in analytical story is okay if get proper permission from the author of the sory. duplicating is not fair manner. On the same time, everybody has his own analytical angle. It may be similar to one another. In such cases, the author of the story or writer should accept the general situation.

The infringement of copyright is now a days very problematic issues.Even if it's so it is the duty of court of law to give proper remedy to the copyright holder and pass an appropriate order against an infringer to pay compensation for that act of infringement which was done by that guy.Anyway i hope that some of the rights are absolute and fundamental in nature.Therefore there is no compromise policy on this regard other than taking proper action against infringer.Because this is considered as an economic offences.The major point for consideration in case of infringement of copyright is depending upon the copy of the substantial nature of work of holder of copyright by third parties.Therefore R.G.ANAND "V" DELUX FILM LIMITED is a most supportable judgment regarding mint column case which is pending before Delhi high court.
