Hurray Signs Deal With Chinese Broadcaster
Chinese mobile music distributor Hurray has signed an exclusive agreement with Beijing TV Media to create interactive services for the broadcasters TV shows. Beijing TV reportedly has around 250 million viewers, and QD Wang, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hurray said that “this event is a breakthrough for us in developing new distribution channels and gaining access to TV and video content. It takes us one step closer toward our goal of becoming a leading digital entertainment content production and distribution house in China”, which indicates the deal will include video content from the broadcaster being distributed through Hurray. It is good that they are finally admitting that there is a set limit to how much data you get for your money. I can understand this limitation.
But the worse part is that in your given allotment of bits that you paid for, they wish to restrict how you use these bits.
To me, this restriction should be unlawful.
