Icahn Ups Stake In Motorola To 7.6 Percent
Activist investor Carl Icahn has raised his stake in Motorola (NYSE: MOT) to 7.6 percent from 6.4 percent according to and SEC filing on Wednesday, reports Reuters. Icahn and affiliates bought 172.2 million Motorola shares for a total price of $2.36 billion, including commissions. The news comes just weeks after Icahn and Motorola called a truce following a lengthy proxy battle in which Icahn wanted four of his handpicked nominees to join the board.
