Industry Moves: Sky Mobile; Loop Mobile; Ringleader Digital
– Sky Mobile: In addition to a few other exec departures, BSkyB (NYSE: BSY) is losing its head of mobile, Tim Satchell, who is going to pursue his own business interests, NMA reports. Satchell had been 365′s mobile head prior to its acquisition by BSkyB and launched the football goal flash mobile service. More at PCUK…
– Loop Mobile: The company confirmed that founder Ian Rodwell is rejoining as CEO and managing director, effective Aug 1. Rodwell replaces Martin Hoffman, who resigned to focus on other new media and technology investments. Hoffman will continue his involvement with Loop as a non-executive director. Release.
– Ringleader Digital: Sonjoy Ganguly is joining as VP of product management, where he will set product strategy and manage ad ops and marketing strategies. Most recently, Ganguly was director of product management for DoubleClick’s Rick Media product line.
Loop Mobile, under the radar. No one can see or put the dots together to connect Loop Mobile with huge growth and expansion into new markets. Strange, but interesting in a down market. Putting good companies into the same basket with all the other underperformers. We shall see. Bill Badman
