OLX Takes Stake in Chinese Classifieds Site Edeng.cn
Free classifieds site OLX has made a strategic investment in Edeng.cn, a Chinese free classifieds site. Edeng will use the funding to fuel growth and develop the product. The move expands the reach of OLX, which last year acquired Mundoanuncio.com, a Craigslist-like classifieds site targeting the Hispanic market. NYC and Buenos Aires-based OLX has similarities to both Craigslist and eBay. The company has attempted to tie itself into social networking, having announced deals with both Fotolog and Friendster. Founder Fabrice Grinda was previously at mobile content firm Zingy, which he founded. Terms of the investment were not disclosed. Release.

olx is NOT worth the effort to post a job. been suckered in a few times. what a complete waste of time and effort. I prefer models like http://www.resumetrunk.com, simplyhired, indeed.com, etc. for real exposure for jobs. olx seems to be spammed by someone, so a large majority of jobs are from someone fishing for google dollars and you cannot apply for the job. kijijijijij or whatever it is called is also a waste, unless you need someone who is unemployable. Why would you ever have a domain name that nobody can spell and remember easily? Complete stupidity, unless you like paying for clicks your life. Google base should eliminate both of them eventually.
