Pradeep Guha Quits Zee Entertainment

Pradeep Guha, or PG as he is popularly called, has quit Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, ending his three year stint as CEO. Mint reports Punit Goenka, network operating officer and a member of the board of directors, will take over as CEO. Guha is rumoured to go entrepreneurial, he recently floated an outdoor entertainment division called Street Culture through The Culture Co., of which, he is the owner and promoter. Rumours of Guha departing started in Feb with an initial speculation suggesting he was slated to had Reliance ADAG’s television venture. Guha had previously spent 25 years with the Times Group and his departure was instrumental in the formation of the ensuing print war in Mumbai and the emergence of the rival daily, Daily News and Analysis (DNA).
