Sanjay Trehan, VP Broadband At Indiatimes Puts In His Papers
ContentSutra has learnt that Sanjay Trehan, Vice President, Broadband at Indiatimes has put in his papers. He is believed to be joining NDTV.com. When contacted, an Indiatimes spokesperson refused to comment on the developments, though sources from Indiatimes have confirmed the news. Trehan himself has been unavailable for comment.
Before joining Indiatimes, Trehan was the Chief of Internet at Hindustan Times. He began his career in advertising at Lintas, after completing his post graduation from St. Stephens College. He joined Hindustan Times.com from reverse auction travel site Razorfinish.com, where he was Vice President, before which he was the COO at Jaldi.com.
Thats a great Move! Sanjay..
I have seen that people who have worked with Sanjay, speak very highly of him!
Indiatimes broadband seems to primarily have content of bollywood etc….
Guess with filmfare now hived off to the 50:50 JV with BBC, they are not able to pull it off.? Probably some insider can comment….
Also I find Sify Broadband to also have fairly vague content…. Too early for India's internet population ??
indian internet sucks!
whether these senior guys generate revenue for the organisation or not, they are raking in moolah for themselves by shifting jobs every 6 months..:) . They move from "one flopshow" to another "potential flopshow"…lol
Sources close to the top at NDTV have confirmed that he will be taking over as CEO of NDTV.com. Tend to agree with Manaav above, he didn't exactly set Indiatimes on fire…
God save NDTV!
Enough of boosting on Sanjay trehan's part! We are yet to see some substantial work backing his credentials. Indiatimes broadband is a disaster.
