The new CEO has indicated she is not as interested in a transformational search deal for the embattled internet giant. WSJ got that one wrong. Gerald Horkan was VP of Corporate Strategy, reporting to Jerry Yang. The VP of M&A is Greg Mrva, who has reported to Blake Jorgensen since Toby Coppel (former SVP of Corporate Development and boss of Greg & Gerald) left to become head of Yahoo! Europe. FWIW, Greg and the M&A team are still intact.
