Yahoo Launches Advertising Portal
Yahoo India has launched Yahoo India Advertising, which is surprisingly similar to…Yahoo Advertising! [via release] The India specific customization aggregation of news feeds from exchange4media, agencyfaqs and the IAMAI’s e-zine Thinking Aloud. Apart from that there’s some India specific research, creatives.
Quite a bit of the content is not India specific. The advertising industry calendar linked to doesn’t list a single India specific advertising event. One of the main tabs links to Yahoo Central, which has more links for Yahoo’s advertising solutions than actual content.
I visited Yahoo OurCity today, and it’s probably the only Yahoo product I like apart from Flickr. It seems they’re now covering 40 cities now, and aggregating events as well.
Yahoo city is the best product arnd. I must also add that Yahoo is doing a wonderful job on many front…wonder whts happnd to MSN, they seem to be lagging behind. especially their ad model.

Yahoo's doing well? Where did that come from…sure, ad revenues tripled last year, but are they getting advertisements because people use their site, or because advertisers don't know better?
Nikhil, thats seriously for you to answer…as far as I am concerned these guys know wht they are doing (though of course, they too have their ups and downs ).

It may seem to all that Yahoo is not used by anyone since Google launch but a better judge is Alexa.com, which tells ranking of different sites worldwide. Yahoo is world wide No 1, Google comes 2nd and Orkut 3rd (Backed by Brazil).

Job Requirements/Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a normal office environment. May be required to provide off-hours support, depending on assigned applications. This typically consists of keeping the unit cell phone during a regular rotation, and responding to off-hours calls by logging into the system (at work or remotely) and promptly troubleshooting and correcting production problems.
