Yatra.com Goes Offline With Sify; On Sify's Franchisees
Yatra has announced a tie-up with Sify, offering its travel related services – booking of hotels, flights and travel packages – via Sify’s 7000 retail points in 220 cities. I wonder how many of the Sify retail points and cybercafe franchises are really running…a couple of months ago, while searching for a cybercafe in my area, I looked up Sify cybercafes (via GPRS) in Kamla Nagar which is near my house. One cybercafe has listed its number as 123456, so I couldn’t contact them, while the other (Aman Preet Singh) hadn’t launched the cybercafe yet, but was still listed. I hope Sify themselves maintain franchisee data better…
If Yatra is looking at leveraging Sify Iways…they are in for a nasty surprise..who goes to Sify iways nowadays…with pathetic net speeds…had one account once and did not even utilise the full value of the pack..it was so pathetic…sify recently is doing a lot of things..and each one is worse than the other..launching citylives…hyderabad live…they have not changed the contents for weeks together..and then chenna live and now tie upwith yatra…all laid back approach….nothing like what rediff does….
