City guidebook company Zagat has launched a mobile effort at Zagat.mobi. It covers major US cities, London and a few other cities around the globe and works via the mobile web — it’s ad-supported, with Visa being the exclusive sponsor for the first two months. “Users can link key listing details, such as address, phone number, and hours; send messages via SMS; and utilize links for directions, movie times and airlines” notes MediaPost.
