BSNL To Kick Off Online Gaming Next Month; Indiagames To Power It
The state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) plans to provide online games. The telco has tied up with Indiagames for the content. BSNL is expected to kick of the service from next month. Indiagames already has tie-ups with Airtel and MTNL for online gaming. “With BSNL, we will be covering 80 per cent of the broadband market,” Vishal Gondal, Director, Indiagames, told ContentSutra. They have already seen a few thousand subscriptions for online gaming from the previous launches with Airtel and MTNL. Indiagames is also gearing up to start their B2C gaming service. From next month, consumers can go online and directly buy games from Indiagames website, says Gondal.

I would like to know the details of the gaming , and would like to become a subscriber of your gaming programme .
I wish these service providers concentrate on providing more high speed internet access to subscribers (matching speeds in the US) than just giving them additional features like games and stuff! I guess its still a long way to go to get such speeds in India.
For online gamming, if the gamming server is placed in India, responce will be better in BSNL broadband network, else of no use.
It needs a fat gateway pine
