Industry Moves: Susan Mernit Joins Yahoo As Senior Director

This should be announced officially soon: Susan Mernit, the influential digital media consultant and ex-AOLer, is joining Yahoo as senior director of product, where she will be responsible for Yahoo Personals.

I’m assuming that means she will re-tool the personals in a hybrid social media-Web 2.0ish tool…plus bring in all the related services and tools Yahoo already has or has acquired recently.

She will be based in Sunnyvale…
