PlanetOut CEO To Step Down After Illness

GLBT portal PlanetOut‘s CEO and chairman, Lowell Selvin, will step down July 1 for medical reasons. He has run the company for seven years, through its October 2004 IPO that raised $41.8 million. Karen Magee will become CEO on July 1. She has been on PlanetOut’s board since September 2003 and worked at Time Warner until this March.
