The Sporting News, the 118-year old sports media company, has turned profitable, after new management (under Paul Allen’s Vulcan) initiated a top-to-bottom review of its holdings.

SN tied up with Fox Sports last year, and that’s apparently working well…about $3 million per year are being generated through fantasy sports online…
