FT may drop payment barrier: The FT is still ruminating over the subscription or free access dilemma with CE Rona Fairhead reportedly examining business plans and considering dropping the payment barrier for some parts of the site. Management are wary of a “head-long charge into free news” and want to retain some form of charging.
DJ abandons radio for “regulation-free” web: Radio DJ Peter ‘Bam Bam’ Poulton, who’s not one for mincing words, has left Kiss FM and started his own web radio show so that he can avoid Ofcom’s “lame rules and regulations” on things like language and decency.
